EU to support Ukraine with €5 billion

In a post on X the Belgian Presidency of the council of the EU 2024 announced that the Ambassadors of the European Union had agreed in principle to a reform of the European Peace Facility, to support Ukraine with a €5 billion budget for 2024.

The Presidency reiterated the EU’s determination to provide lasting support to Ukraine and ensure that the country gets “the military equipment it needs to defend itself.”

According to Bloomberg the EU will prioritize using the money to deliver support to Ukraine quickly and with flexibility.
