On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, for the second time in a week, buildings of Danish pharma giant Novo Nordisk are on fire.
According to Danish TV2, the fire started in a container tower and has since spread to nearby buildings.
"It is a severe fire that has also spread to a neighboring building. They are fighting hard out there, and massive efforts are being made to extinguish the fire," said the Copenhagen duty officer Thomas Christensen.
As of now, there are no reports of any persons being injured in the fires.
Novo Nordisk has seen its stocks dip throughout the morning. As of 1PM, local time, the company's shares are down 1.28% for the day.
The Danish company Novo Nordisk is a power player within pharma, rising to particular prominence with its incredibly successful and sought-after diabetes and obesity drugs, Ozempic and Wegovy.
